Day 1: Group meets in Iquitos, Peru. Travel by speedboat to our research station deep in the Amazon. along the way we will have the opportunity to stop at some villages along the way to explore and learn about different native cultures and see some classic amazon sites such as giant ceba trees and the monkey island. lunch in a small river town on our route. Once at the station guests can relax or fish for arapaima. dinner at station. night hikes searching for boas, bushmasters and other amazonian wildlife. overnight at station.      

 

Day 2-3: Full day at the jungle research station. Hike the many trails through primary rainforest or go to the river to fish and see the pink river dolphins. breakfast lunch and dinner provided at the station. night hikes and herping. overnight at station.

Day 4: Ayahuasca ceremony day. Breakfast (for guests not taking part in the ayahuasca ceremony) and transport to Station #2. Lunch provided at station (for guests not taking part in ceremony). Guests participating in the Ayahuasca ceremony will meet with the shaman and discuss the process and prepare for the ceremony. Ceremony takes place at night. guests not participating will go on a night hike in the jungle during this time as not to disturb the ceremony. light meal and reflection after ceremony. overnight at station.

Day 5: Breakfast then Transport to comfortable resort lodge. guests can rest and relax at the pool or in the comfortable rooms. Hike the many trails in the jungle and search for wildlife. lunch and dinner at resort. overnight at resort.

Day 6:Breakfast at resort then transfer by boat back to the city of Iquitos. guests can spend the evening exploring the city or relaxing in hotel. overnight in hotel.

Day 7: breakfast provided at hotel. Guests can explore the city or rest until they're arranged flights out of Iquitos. End of Expedition
