ITINERARY:
Day 1: Group meets in Liberia, Costa Rica. Transport to house in Playa Coco. Guests can relax on beach explore the town and have dinner at the many local restaurants. night herping searching for neotropical rattlesnakes in dry forest. Overnight at house.
Day 2: Group heads to the beach and take boat to go fishing and snorkeling. light lunch/snacks provided on boat. Evening cruising searching for reptiles and other wildlife.
Day 3: Morning transfer to Tarcoles River where we can see giant American Crocodiles. Continue on to cloud forests of Monte Verde. Night herping, searching for our target species the side stripe palm pitviper and other wildlife. Overnight in Monte Verde.
Day 4: Morning in Monte Verde. Visit Xtremo Park. Guests can Zipline through the canopy or choose to do the highest bungee jump in Central America. afternoon transfer to La Fortuna. Night herping and overnight in La Fortuna.
Day 5: Full day in La Fortuna. Activities can include visit hot springs and waterfalls, hike the volcano. Night herping and overnight in La Fortuna.
Day 6: Full day in La Fortuna. Search for sloths, toucans, and other rainforest wildlife during the day. overnight in La Fortuna.
Day 7: Transport back to Liberia International Airport ending Expedition.
